China’s new generation of electromagnetic guns exposed

No noise, no flash, no shells… The electromagnetic field accelerates the projectile to ultra-high speed, which can be held in one hand, and the power can be adjusted to switch between continuous and single shots. The electronic screen displays the battery level and ammunition in real time, and the laser indicator and ergonomic grip, China’s new generation of electromagnetic guns are bringing science fiction-level combat experience into reality.

CCTV Military released a video this week (March 14) showing the latest generation of electromagnetic guns (full name “power controllable electromagnetic launcher”) independently developed by China’s weapons equipment construction industry, which has the characteristics of no noise, no flash, and no shells.

Electromagnetic guns are a new type of weapon that uses electromagnetic force to accelerate projectiles. Unlike traditional firearms that rely on gunpowder explosions, they accelerate projectiles to ultra-high speeds through electromagnetic fields, and have the characteristics of high firing rate, strong concealment, and low recoil.

According to reporter Zhuang Xiaoying in the CCTV Military video, China’s new generation of electromagnetic guns are light and can be held in one hand. The grip of the electromagnetic gun is set in the middle, the magazine is at the back, the front is equipped with a laser indicator, and the top is equipped with an electronic display screen in addition to the guide rail (which can display information such as power, remaining ammunition, mode, etc. during actual shooting). In addition, the electromagnetic gun can adjust different powers and support switching between burst and single-shot modes.
