Japan’s economy expected to grow 0.4% in first quarter

Japan’s economy is expected to grow 0.4% in the first quarter, according to a March 11-14 poll of 62 economists. GDP is expected to grow 0.7% quarter-on-quarter on a seasonally adjusted annualized basis in the second quarter of 2025, compared with a previous estimate of 0.9%.
