On June 30, local time, American entrepreneur Elon Musk once again criticized President Trump’s “big and beautiful” tax and spending bill. He posted dozens of posts in a row, saying that those congressmen who support the bill should be ashamed, and said that if the bill is passed, the “American Party” will be established the next day.
Musk: Congressmen who support the bill should be ashamed
Musk wrote on the social media X he manages: “If this crazy spending bill is passed, the ‘American Party’ will be established the next day.”
Musk said in multiple posts that the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States “pretend to be two political parties, but in fact they are just a ‘single party’. The United States needs an alternative.”
Musk said: “Every congressman who promised to cut government spending during the campaign, but turned around and voted for the largest debt growth bill in history, should be ashamed! If the last thing I do on this earth (I have to) is to make them lose the party primary next year (during the congressional midterm elections).”
Musk pinned a post, threatening to make the portraits of congressmen who support the bill into satirical posters and spread them during the party primary stage of next year’s midterm elections. The accompanying picture shows the image of Pinocchio, and there are four prominent English letters: LIAR (liar).
Musk also used insulting words to describe the Republican and Democratic parties, saying that the “big and beautiful” bill will push the debt ceiling up by a record $5 trillion. “It’s time to establish a new party that really cares about the people.”

Trump talked about his relationship with Musk on the 29th, saying that Musk was “a little frustrated” and his recent behavior was “inappropriate.”
Trump was interviewed by Fox News Channel that day. The reporter asked: “Have you talked to Elon Musk? What happened?”
“I haven’t talked to him much, but I think Elon is a great guy and I know he will always do well.” Trump replied, “He’s a smart man. He participated in campaigns with me.
But then he was a little frustrated, which was inappropriate.”
The reporter asked: “Why frustrated? Because he didn’t get what he wanted?”
Trump replied: “The mandatory policy on electric vehicles is a difficult thing for him. You know, I don’t want everyone to have to own an electric car.”
Is it related to Musk’s vital interests?
Musk has repeatedly criticized the “Big and Beautiful” bill. On June 28, the U.S. Senate reviewed the draft bill. Musk posted on social media that the bill “will destroy millions of jobs in the United States and cause great damage to our country.” He criticized the bill as “extremely crazy and destructive” and “providing handouts to sunset industries but seriously damaging future industries.”
According to media reports, the “Big and Beautiful” bill involves “sensitive points” in American politics, including a substantial reduction in tax rates, new energy subsidies and social security spending, as well as increased military spending and border security spending. It is estimated that the bill will increase the US federal government’s debt by about $3.8 trillion over the next 10 years.
Some US media believe that some provisions of the bill are related to Musk’s vital interests, and his criticism of the bill is also one of the important reasons for the deterioration of his relationship with Trump.
In response to Musk’s criticism, Trump said that Musk’s dissatisfaction stems from the bill’s proposal to cancel the tax credit for electric vehicle consumers, which affects Musk’s interests as the CEO of electric car manufacturer Tesla.
According to CNN, Tesla’s sales performance has fallen sharply this year, and it needs to continue to implement the tax credit policy to maintain market demand. JPMorgan Chase previously estimated that once the tax credit policy is canceled, Tesla will lose about $1.2 billion a year.
