The Washington Post reported that a Republican senator in the United States revealed that President-elect Trump is preparing nearly 100 executive orders for his return to the White House on January 20.
Trump has been meeting with Republican members of the House of Representatives at Mar-a-Lago in Florida for three consecutive days since Friday (January 10) to continue preparing for his coming to power.
According to reports, Republican Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin said in an interview with Fox News on Thursday (9th) that Trump conveyed plans to take action on issues such as immigration and energy when he met with Republican senators in Washington on Wednesday night (8th).
Trump also urged Senate Republicans to remain united in the cabinet confirmation process and discuss how to implement the legislative agenda he has taken the lead in as soon as he took office.
Senate Minority Leader Schumer criticized congressional Republicans for proposing to approve Trump’s agenda through the reconciliation process. Senate Republicans advocated that Trump’s agenda be divided into two bills to quickly resolve border and energy policies before turning to more difficult tax issues.
“They’ve been talking about this reconciliation bill and whether it should be two bills or one bill — it makes no difference at all … What they’re trying to do is find the quickest and best way to give wealthy people a massive tax cut that they don’t need to hurt average Americans,” Schumer said.
