According to a report on the US Newsweek website on June 28, the latest Newsweek poll shows that US President Trump’s approval rating has fallen to an all-time low.
The survey shows that 43% of Americans are currently satisfied with Trump’s performance, 53% are dissatisfied, and his net approval rating is negative 10%.
The report said that this is a drop of 3 percentage points from the previous day, when his net approval rating was negative 7%. This is also his lowest net approval rating since April 29.
According to reports, Trump’s poll numbers initially fell sharply after he announced the “Liberation Day” tariffs in April this year. Although his approval rating quickly rebounded, his recent actions seem to have reignited public dissatisfaction with the White House.
This includes his decision to deploy the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles to suppress protests, and ordering airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities last weekend-polls show that most voters oppose airstrikes.
Since then, surveys have shown that Trump’s approval rating has fallen to the lowest point on record.
The report pointed out that several other polls also showed that Trump’s approval rating has dropped to a new low since his second term.
The latest YouGov/Economist poll of 1,590 adults conducted from June 20 to 23 showed that Trump’s net approval rating was negative 14%.
Similarly, a new poll of 1,223 adults conducted by the Bullfinch Group between June 17 and 20 showed that his net approval rating was negative 13%.
The latest Ipsos/Reuters and American Research Group polls also showed that Trump’s net approval rating hit a new low in his second term.
