In the early morning of June 10, 2025, the Russian army launched a large-scale air strike on the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast and other places, using 315 drones and 7 missiles. Many facilities in Kiev were damaged, including office buildings, shopping malls, banks, business centers, sanatoriums and water supply pipelines, and more than 30 buildings were destroyed. Odessa Oblast Military Administrator Kiper said that two people died and nine were injured in the state, and a maternity hospital was also damaged in the attack. Kiev Mayor Klitschko urgently called on citizens to enter the shelter.
The attack was a retaliation for Ukraine’s previous actions, aimed at weakening its military capabilities, and further exacerbated the tension in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The international community called for resolving disputes through peaceful negotiations to avoid escalating conflicts.
