Tencent Unveils AI Assistant Maverick

May 20th, Tencent announced the official launch of its operating system-level AI assistant, Marvis, which is now available for download on its official website (Marvis.qq.com) without the need for an invitation code. According to reports, Marvis integrates terminal systems, files, applications, computing power, and cross-terminal connections into a single AI middle layer, with six collaborative Agents pre-installed. Marvis offers two modes: Efficiency Mode and Privacy Mode. The latter utilizes edge-side large models, where all data analysis, image recognition, and conversations are completed locally, without any cloud connectivity, and can be used offline. This mode meets the needs of highly sensitive scenarios such as finance, law, and HR, and returns control to the user for confirmation in critical areas involving privacy, security, and payment.
