I just heard some exciting news from the 2026 Beijing Zhiyuan Conference’s Embodied Industry CEO Forum. Guo Yandong, the founder and CEO of Zhiping Fang, officially unveiled the world’s first brain-inspired embodied intelligence system, NeuroVLA. Right alongside the launch, they also announced it’s going open-source on the AlphaBrain Platform.
This NeuroVLA brain-like large model architecture is a collaboration between Zhiping Fang and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). It’s truly fascinating—it mimics the human brain’s three-layer system: the cortex, cerebellum, and spinal cord. The cortex handles deep reasoning and planning, the cerebellum ensures smooth and stable movements, and the spinal cord manages those lightning-fast instinctive reactions.
Right now, NeuroVLA is already live on Zhiping Fang’s one-stop embodied intelligence open-source community, AlphaBrain Platform, and it’s open to the entire industry. Here’s the kicker: Zhiping Fang has already built a semi-automated robot production line capable of churning out over 2,000 units a year. And they’re not stopping there—by the second half of this year, they’re planning to build new production lines with a capacity of 20,000 to 30,000 units, enabling large model deployment on the edge.
