WeChat Launches AI Volunteer Assistant for College Application Guidance

On June 23, WeChat’s search feature, WeChat Sōu Yī Sōu, rolled out an “AI Volunteer Assistant” to make college application planning a breeze for students and parents. Starting today, users can type in their exam scores, university names, or any application-related questions directly into the WeChat search bar. The assistant taps into structured data from partner platform “Zhǎng Shàng Gāo Kǎo,” which covers years of admission scores, rankings, and enrollment plans from universities across China. It then dishes out practical advice in three tiers: “reach,” “match,” and “safety” schools, helping you figure out where you stand.
