According to reports from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on the 15th local time, wildfires continue to rage across multiple regions in Canada. A harrowing on-site video shows a freight train trapped by a blazing forest fire, with flames leaping outside the windows—a truly terrifying sight.

“The fire could swallow us up—it’s pretty scary,” a crew member recounted. The train was passing by a burning forest near Armstrong, Ontario, when it got surrounded by the wildfire. The crew on board called for emergency assistance.
Currently, over 100 wildfires are burning in Ontario, threatening many communities in the northwest. Thick smoke has shrouded Toronto, leaving residents waking up to a hazy sky.
In a subsequent statement, Canadian National Railway said that all crew members stranded outside Armstrong were safely rescued, and rail operations in the area have been temporarily suspended.
According to the latest data from the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC), there are still 838 wildfires raging across the country.
