On July 18, Tencent’s self-developed efficiency AI agent, WorkBuddy, officially debuted as a standalone app, with versions for iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS launched simultaneously. According to the company, the WorkBuddy app retains most of the capabilities of its desktop counterpart and allows users to remotely initiate tasks on a computer from their phone.
Additionally, WorkBuddy supports two execution modes: connecting to a computer or working in the cloud. The cloud mode offers the core features of the desktop version, including Skills, Experts & Expert Teams, automated scheduled tasks, file downloads and sharing, and project management. It also connects to Tencent Docs and the ima knowledge base through its resource library feature.
