On August 17, Symbiosis Robotics, an embodied intelligence startup, unveiled a demo featuring a bipedal humanoid robot driving a go-kart, while also launching its official website. This marks the company’s first comprehensive public showcase of its technical direction and early-stage research achievements since its founding.
In the released video, the humanoid robot slips into the driver’s seat, grips the steering wheel, positions its feet over the pedals, and navigates the vehicle around a closed track. Driving is far from a single, isolated action — the robot must continuously adapt to its surroundings, maintain stability within the cramped cockpit, and coordinate hand movements for steering with foot controls for throttle and braking.
