On August 20, iFlytek released its semi-annual report for 2026. During the first half of the year, the company generated revenue of 11.623 billion yuan, marking a 6.52% increase year-over-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose by 14.68% compared to the same period last year.
It’s worth noting that over the past two years, iFlytek’s semi-annual net profit attributable to shareholders has been negative both times, yet the company managed to turn positive for the full year each time. This latest report suggests a similar trajectory may be unfolding.
Breaking down the education segment, iFlytek noted that its AI learning devices faced headwinds in the first half. Chip and storage price hikes, along with periodic product shortages, caused sales to miss expectations. However, the overall market share of iFlytek’s AI learning devices is still on an upward trend.
Encouragingly, sales of the iFlytek AI learning device picked up in July. As of the end of July, cumulative sales had recovered to a 3% growth rate compared to the same period last year. What’s more impressive, July’s standalone monthly sales surged by over 30% year-over-year, signaling strong momentum heading into the second half.
