We noticed that some merchant pages on Meituan Delivery now display new business tags such as “Mall Store,” “Commercial Street Shop,” and “Platform Inspected.” According to information from Meituan, as of August this year, over 200,000 merchants on the platform have shown the “Mall Store” tag, and 45,000 merchants have displayed the “Commercial Street Shop” tag.
These new tags are mainly designed for operating scenarios that are hard to simply classify under traditional “dine-in” or “no dine-in” categories—such as mall food courts, commercial street counters, and places using shared dining areas. The goal is to give customers a clearer picture of the store’s location, business environment, and dining conditions before they place an order.
