Back on June 3, the House of Representatives pushed through a resolution aimed at tying President Trump’s hands when it comes to military action against Iran. The twist? Four Republican lawmakers broke ranks and sided with Democrats to cast a yes vote. In the end, the measure squeaked through with a razor-thin 215 to 208 tally.
The very next day, Trump took to social media to call out the move, bluntly asking, “Who on earth would pull off something so unpatriotic?”
He didn’t hold back, dismissing the House vote as completely pointless. “Right in the middle of my final peace talks with Iran, four dead-weight Republicans and the entire Democratic party vote to strip away my war powers,” he wrote. “Who does something so unpatriotic? They already know exactly where these negotiations stand.”
Trump also pointed the finger at Democrats, claiming they’re operating under what he calls “Trump Delusion Syndrome.” According to him, they’d happily watch the country crumble just to keep him from claiming another victory.
Not forgetting the four GOP turncoats, he labeled them nothing more than attention-seekers, adding that they ought to feel deeply embarrassed for how they voted.
