Boeing 787 carries 1 billion passengers in 14 years

The Boeing 787 aircraft has been in use since 2011 and has carried more than 1 billion passengers in 14 years. The global fleet size has reached 1,175 aircraft, covering 85 countries and more than 520 airports.

The Boeing 787 is a wide-body passenger aircraft newly developed by Boeing. There are three models, 787-8/9/10, with a maximum passenger capacity of 360, 406 and 450 people respectively. The Boeing 787 uses many advanced technologies, such as HUD head-up display, no APU, and new engines that save 25% fuel compared to the 767, etc.
The Boeing 787 has a long range, and all three models can reach more than 12,000 kilometers. Among them, the 787-9 has the longest range and can fly more than 14,000 kilometers.

The Boeing 787 has been warmly welcomed after its launch, and more than 1,200 aircraft have been delivered. Almost all major airlines in the world have 787s, and some companies even ordered more than 70 at a time. Now the largest user of Boeing 787 in the world is still All Nippon Airways, with 86 aircraft; followed by American Airlines, with 61 aircraft.

China’s Hainan Airlines is also a large user of 787, with 38 aircraft currently. my country’s China Southern Airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Juneyao Airlines also have 787s, with a total of about 120 aircraft. You can see 787s in almost all first-tier city airports, and in second-tier cities such as Zhengzhou, Shenyang and Urumqi. Even in Kashgar Airport, you can sometimes see Boeing 787s.

Boeing’s announcement said that the Boeing 787 has received more than 2,000 orders from 89 customers around the world, operates at more than 520 airports in 85 countries around the world, has an average of 2,100 flights per day, and transports about 480,000 passengers per day. On average, each Boeing 787 passenger aircraft flies more than 12 hours a day, which means that its reliability and attendance rate are far ahead.
