Patel posted on social platform X, saying, “Thanks to the swift actions of the FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, several suspects are now in custody, and the alleged attack plan has been stopped.” He also shared a link to a Fox News report on the matter. According to Fox News, citing unnamed U.S. officials, five people have been detained, and investigators have identified a network of 23 potential conspirators.

U.S. media reported that the plan involved using drones to attack buildings near the White House during the UFC event, causing a mass evacuation and funneling the crowd toward locations where “pre-deployed sniper teams” were positioned. Additionally, the plot included a “second wave” of action to storm the White House gates.

When asked for further details, the FBI stated that “there is nothing more to add at this time.”
