Kling AI Secures Nearly $3 Billion in Funding, Setting a Global Record for Video AI Model Companies

July 2 news – Kling AI, a video generation model under Kuaishou, has secured nearly $3 billion in funding, with a post-investment valuation expected to reach $18 billion. This sets a new global record for the largest funding round among video AI model companies, signaling the official launch of its independent commercialization journey.

This funding round was co-led by CPE, Guofang Venture Capital, BlueFive, Tencent, Zhongguancun Science City Fund (in partnership with Guoke Investment), and CITIC Securities, with participation from dozens of top-tier investment firms. It is reported that the round also attracted industrial capital from Alibaba Cloud and Baidu, as well as active involvement from cultural and entertainment sector players like Huace Film and TV and Mango Industrial Investors (Houwei Capital).
