Mexican President: Considering filing a lawsuit over the wreckage of the US “Starship” falling into the country

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said at a press conference at the presidential palace on June 25 that the Mexican government is investigating the fall of the debris of the “Starship” rocket launched by the US Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) and is considering filing a lawsuit in accordance with international law. Sheinbaum said that the US rocket launch activities on the US-Mexico border affect Mexico’s security and environment. The Mexican government will specifically evaluate the impact of the rocket launch on the relevant areas of Mexico and study whether the US actions violate international law.
