On June 26, local time, the National Assembly of Nicaragua unanimously passed the proposal submitted by the Presidential Palace of Nicaragua to join the International Mediation Institute, which marked that Nicaragua officially joined the international organization.
Dixon, a member of the National Assembly of Nicaragua, said, “Faced with the current situation of intensified global geopolitical tensions, frequent cross-border trade disputes and complex interactions between countries, Nicaragua recognizes the necessity of establishing an efficient and flexible dispute resolution mechanism. In order to meet the international community’s demand for professional mediation institutions, China took the lead in promoting the signing of the Convention on the Establishment of the International Mediation Institute. The organization will fill the institutional gap in the field of international mediation.”
