Small Plane Crashes in Maryland, Killing Three: What We Know

According to reports from the Federal Aviation Administration and Maryland State Police, a small plane that took off from New Jersey crashed in Bowie, Maryland on the 21st, resulting in three fatalities. This has been confirmed by outlets like ABC and the New York Post.

A Maryland State Police spokesperson stated at a press conference that the plane was en route from New Jersey to Montgomery County Airport when it suddenly went down in a wooded area near a residential neighborhood. Images from the scene show debris scattered near a local playground, less than 20 miles from Washington, D.C. The pilot and two passengers were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be investigating the cause of this tragic accident.
