According to reports from Reuters and other international media, on July 6th, former U.S. President Donald Trump once again threatened military action against Iran.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office that day, Trump said, “We either make a deal, or we get the job done. Getting the job done isn’t hard. I’d prefer a deal because I don’t want to impact (Iran’s) 91 million people.”

He claimed, “We can destroy their bridges in an hour, we can cut off their energy supply… They have no money now, we never gave them any.”

“We can destroy their electricity and power plants—let’s just say, in less than an afternoon, all the power plants will be gone. They know this,” Trump added.

Furthermore, Trump reiterated that he would never allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons.

Later, during a luncheon, Trump stated that recent U.S. military actions had weakened Iran’s military capabilities and urged Tehran to strike a deal.

“We wiped out their navy, air force, radar, their leaders. We took everyone out,” Trump said. “And then I hear they’re doing just fine now. No, they’re not doing fine at all.”

Trump claimed that Iran is “very desperate” for a deal, adding, “They have to make the right deal because they can’t have nuclear weapons.”

He asserted that the U.S. would win regardless, saying, “We’ll win in a friendly way, or we’ll win in an unfriendly way.”

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, Mohammad Bagher Zolgadr, dismissed Trump’s threats as “delusions.”

He said, “Iranians are not familiar with the language of threats. So please speak to the Iranian people with respect, or we will respond in a different language.”

A public farewell ceremony for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei began on July 4th. Reuters noted that at the funeral, Iranians did not appear weakened by the U.S.-Israel conflict; instead, they showed unity and determination to shape their own future.
