According to reports, on June 14 local time, U.S. President Trump said in an interview that under the agreement he reached with Iran, the Strait of Hormuz will be permanently open for free.

He also insisted that if Iran fails to reach a final nuclear deal with the U.S., he would restart military strikes against Tehran, or make the U.S. the “guardian of the Middle East” in exchange for 20% of the region’s revenue.

In the interview, he fiercely criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, accusing his attacks of almost wrecking the final deal.

Talking about Netanyahu, Trump said: “He’s a very tough guy. Honestly, he should be really grateful we did this. Because if Iran had nuclear weapons, Israel wouldn’t last two hours.”
