According to reports from Iranian sources, as of May 2nd, Iran has handed over its latest negotiation proposal to the US through Pakistan, which includes 14 points focusing on “ending the war”. Iran is now waiting for a formal response from the US.

Earlier, the US had proposed a 9-point plan, to which Iran has responded with its 14-point proposal. The US had requested a two-month ceasefire, but Iran emphasized that all issues should be resolved within 30 days, with a focus on “ending the war” rather than prolonging the ceasefire.

The main points of Iran’s proposal include ensuring no further military aggression, the withdrawal of US troops from the region, lifting the naval blockade, unfreezing Iranian assets, paying compensation, canceling sanctions, achieving peace on all fronts (including Lebanon), and establishing a new management mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has drawn a firm “red line” with this proposal, presenting a clear roadmap for ending the imposed war.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Gharibabadi, stated on May 2nd that Iran has submitted a proposal to Pakistan aimed at permanently ending the war, and now “the ball is in the US court”. Iran is prepared for “all scenarios”.

According to the Iranian Students’ News Agency, Gharibabadi pointed out that the US must choose between diplomatic channels and continued confrontation. Iran has made preparations to safeguard its interests and national security, and remains skeptical of US diplomatic intentions.

Iranian media reported that Iran had submitted its latest negotiation proposal to the US through Pakistan on April 30th. On the same day, US President Trump received a briefing from the US Central Command and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on new military action plans against Iran. Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Iran’s latest proposal on May 1st.

According to Iranian sources, as of May 2nd, a senior official from Iran’s Armed Forces, Sadar Asadi, stated that the possibility of another conflict between Iran and the US is high, but Iran is fully prepared.

Asadi said there is evidence that the US does not adhere to any agreements, and that US officials’ statements are more propaganda tactics aimed at preventing oil price drops and escaping their own “self-made crisis”.

Asadi stated that Iran’s Armed Forces are fully prepared for any “adventurous and foolish actions” the US might take.

On May 2nd, Trump stated that he had been informed of Iran’s proposal, which he described as a “conceptual framework”, and that Iran would provide a more detailed proposal.

Trump expressed skepticism about the acceptability of the proposal, stating that it would be reviewed soon, but that it was hard to imagine it being accepted.

Trump mentioned the possibility of the US resuming airstrikes against Iran during an interview at a Florida airport on May 2nd.
