On March 2, local time, the Israel Defense Forces stated that sirens were sounded in several areas of northern Israel following the rocket launches from Lebanon. Israel claimed that Lebanon fired six rockets into northern Israel. A senior Israeli security official also stated that the rocket launches by Lebanon would be met with a strong response.
