Nationwide no-fly zones for micro, light, and small unmanned aerial vehicles have officially been launched, covering 34 provincial-level administrative regions

Breaking News: As of May 14th, 0:00 hours, the new flight zones for micro, light, and small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have officially gone live nationwide. The UOM platform (Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Comprehensive Management Platform) has also completed its data update in sync with this change.

This adjustment affects all 34 provincial-level administrative regions across the country, with completely new boundaries and GIS data for flight zones. Provinces like Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Sichuan have already officially announced their new flight zone ranges. Notably, Hunan, Zhejiang, and Shenzhen have seen significant expansions in their flight areas.

Meanwhile, Sichuan and other regions are actively promoting the trial of “scan-to-fly” systems, gradually advancing the compliant flight of UAVs.
