Serbia and Huitian Strike a Deal on Low-Altitude Aviation

On May 26, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his delegation sat down with Huitian, a Chinese low-altitude economy company, and they’ve inked a cooperation agreement focusing on the low-altitude sector. The big plan? Using the EXPO 2027 Belgrade as a springboard, they’re aiming to build Eastern Europe’s very first national-level smart low-altitude economy demonstration zone. Think of it as a one-stop hub for R&D, testing, commercial operations, talent training, and setting standards—all with a reach across Europe. Word is, Huitian will jump into Serbia’s low-altitude flight pilot projects, doing demo flights, test runs, commercial operations, pilot training, and even setting up factories. On the flip side, Serbia will chip in with land, financing, regulatory support, and policy perks.
