On March 17, Harvard University in the United States announced that it would expand the scope of scholarship aid from the 2025-2026 academic year, exempting students with family incomes of $100,000 or less from tuition, room and board, health insurance and other fees, while students from families with incomes of no more than $200,000 can be exempted from tuition.

The statement said that after the implementation of the new policy, about 86% of families in the United States are eligible for financial aid from Harvard University. Currently, Harvard University students from families with an annual income of no more than $85,000 can enjoy the free policy.
